The Tequila of Champions

It may be a little overused, but "championship pedigree" is widely used.
However, the only phrase you can use to describe Cincoro Tequila is "championship pedigree."
A sure thing, you could say.

Double-digit NBA titles and two Olympic gold medals have been won by Cincoro co-founders Michael Jordan, Jeanie Buss, Wes Edens, Emilia Fazzalari, and Wyc Grousbeck, who also served in front office capacities. These basketball opponents have come together off the court because they both have a passion for winning on the court and for tequila.

The Gold Standard

The Blanco, which serves as the foundation for the entire lineup, Reposado, Aejo, and Extra Aejo have all been included in Cincoro's portfolio in the past. To complete its collection of premium tequilas, the Cincoro team is now producing a new tequila expression called Cincoro Gold. They've succeeded in producing an elite starting five of tequilas that will be difficult to match for a group of NBA owners who appreciate the challenge of assembling a successful starting five on the court.

Explore what makes any Cincoro tequila so distinctive in order to fully enjoy the new Gold expression.

A Winning Formula

Regardless of the Cincoro tequila you favor, it all begins with the same 100% Blue Weber agave plants that are collected from the renowned highland and lowland regions of Jalisco, Mexico, the country that gave birth to tequila. At the Destiladora del Valle de Tequila, the tequila-making Maestri family performs the distilling procedure. Because it is the same for all Cincoro goods, the varied aging periods may be seen in each expression.

Championship products require time to develop, both on and off the court. The Cincoro brand is a prime example of this, as evidenced by their aging process.
The aging times for the Reposado, Aejo, and Extra Aejo products in former Tennessee Whiskey barrels are all much longer than those required for all other tequilas.

The additional aging gives the spirits more complexity and depth, as well as imparting several barrel-derived flavors like notes of toasted oak, maple, butterscotch, vanilla, and chocolate. The finished products are rich, delectable tequilas that are perfect for enjoying neat or over ice as a post-game beverage.

While successful teams are frequently created from the ground up, Cincoro takes things a step further by maturing their tequilas in a cellar beneath the ground to enhance the flavor profiles.

Cincoro Gold will have linkages to the owners throughout its stylish bottle design, much like every other bottle of Cincoro tequila. The stunning glass bottle was created by a skilled Mexican glassblower and is shaped like the agave leaf, the show's main attraction. The bottle's five sides are also a tribute to the company's five founders. A Cincoro Fire Agave emblem is situated at a 23-degree angle on the punt (or dimple) at the base of the bottle, a clear nod to MJ's jersey number.
A stunning crystal stopper in the form of an inverted agave leaf completes the presentation. Every action is done with care and accuracy.

All that Glitters is Gold

Limited numbers (only 4,000 cases) of the $400 Cincoro Gold will be sold to the general public starting in October 2022.

What, then, distinguishes Cincoro Gold as special and deserving of such hoopla in a constrained initial release? The Cincoro team has dubbed it "a tapestry of tequila" since it's an unusual combination of their first four expressions with an extra generous dollop of the opulent Extra Aejo. Cincoro Gold features flavors of sweet honey, roasted oak, vanilla, and dried fruits and highlights the distinctive qualities of each particular product.

It is as lush, intricate, and fluid as a Michael Jordan fadeaway that only finds the net.
