Uncle Nearest Rye

Uncle Nearest is expanding its 100 proof straight rye whiskey across the country after debuting its first rye whiskey in September as a barrel proof distillery exclusive. Similar to that barrel proof release, this whisky was distilled in Canada and spent at least 4 years aging in New York before traveling to Tennessee to finish its aging process in used Uncle Nearest barrels. Victoria Eady Butler, Nearest Green's great-great granddaughter, blended the final result.

This straight rye is one of Uncle Nearest's "12 Weeks of Christmas" specials, which also includes gift bundles with all seven of the company's whiskies and unique promotions like bottle signings at the distillery. A single barrel black label and a single barrel rye will both be released in the near future, on November 25 and December 15, respectively.
