Whistlepig The Boss Hog IX: Siren’s Song

This whiskey is a single barrel offering bottled at proof, similar to earlier The Boss Hog offerings, and unique to everything else WhistlePig has done. But unlike past versions, WhistlePig's Vermont farm produced Greek fig nectar barrels and farm-scratch tentura casks for Siren's Song to be finished in (an herbal Greek liqueur that the distillery made from clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange peel, and honey)

The nine Greek Muses served as the inspiration for this batch of The Boss Hog, which has one of them on each bottle as a custom metal topper (the most limited bottling of the nine features Melpomene, the Muse of Tragedy). The producers at WhistlePig traveled to Greece last summer in order to gather ingredients and learn how to brew the liqueur at an authentic tentura distillery. Following the debut, WhistlePig will recognize contemporary women who serve as an inspiration to its whiskey creators today.
