Kendall Jenner's Newest Tequila

Founded in 2021 by Kendell Jenner, 818 Tequila has already won 32 tasting awards at 11 international spirits competitions.  These include Best Reposado Tequila at the World Tequila Awards, Platinum Award at SIP Awards, Triple Gold Award at MicroLiquor Spirits Awards, and Top 100 Spirits at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge.

When it launched, 818 Tequila had 3 different variations - Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo - all sustainably produced from Weber Blue agaves on family-owned farms in Jalisco, Mexico.  In September of this year, Jenner launched her fourth tequila for the brand, the most exclusive version yet: 818 Eight Reserve.

818 Reserve Tequila is an Añejo tequila made from agave that is hand-picked by jimadores, cooked in traditional brick ovens, and aged up to 8 years in French and American barrels. It has notes of agave, vanilla, cinnamon, dried berries, and praline, and goes down smoothly with an aftertaste of fruit and spiced accents.  The full-bodied light amber pairs perfectly with truffle fries, an aged steak or cured ham, toasted nuts, dark chocolate, or crème brûlée.

The Kardashian-Jenner family seems to have a thing for tequila, and that’s evident in the lengths Kendall Jenner went to create this brand.  According to the famous model and socialite, the journey to create the 818 Tequila brand took almost four years!   Well-aged with a high poof, the resulting tequila’s many awards seem to show that Jenner’s efforts paid off with great liquor

A unique factor of Jenner’s newest tequila addition is its bottle.  The ceramic white bottle design for the 818 Eight Reserve was created by Valerio Sommella in Milan.  Depending on which direction it is turned, the elegant shape looks like either an 8 or a 1.  The 818 name is a tribute to Kendall’s hometown of Calabasas, California which claims the area code ‘818’.

“We are constantly looking to innovate and with this new liquid we are building on what makes 818 Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo so beautiful and complex and taking it to the next level,” Kendall said about the brand.  “It’s been incredible to work alongside our team in Mexico to develop Eight Reserve.”
